Gresso Announces Skeleton Gold Limited Edition

About two months ago, Gresso announced its first handsets to fit into its Avantgarde Skeleton Collection. Now, we learn that the company unveiled a new handset, namely the Skeleton Gold phone, a device that will come only in a very limited edition of only 50 units. The new Skeleton Gold doesn't look too different from the Avantgarde Skeleton, but it also comes dressed up in gold.

According to the company, the phone's 23 functional keys are “executed of 18k gold,” and the maker used an ultra-precision turning technology to manufacture them, something that allowed it to deliver great shape to all the details. In addition, the device's QVGA screen is protected by hand-polished 42k sapphire glass. And the handset also features the Gresso-style transparent sapphire glass back panel.

On the functionality and feature side, the handset comes packed the same as the Avantgarde Skeleton. The specifications of the phone include Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard as its operating system, Bluetooth connectivity, messaging capabilities (including MMS and email), PC synchronization, GPRS, USB-mini, MP3 player, voice recorder, a 2-megapixel camera, as well as 2GB of internal memory.

On the outside, the handset also comes with the special features that could be seen in the Skeleton Collection. This would include titanium alloy for the case, which also comes with scratch-proof high-tech ceramic coverage, while the back cover sports the Gresso logo covered with 10 micron gold. In addition, the battery cover is reported to be executed from stainless steel while also being decorated with genuine leather.

Gresso announced that its new Skeleton Gold mobile phone was already available for purchase, featuring a retail price of $4,400 (about €3,450).
