Greeting, Earthlings!

Apparently, the only place worth being at over the weekend was the stadium where David Beckham made his LA Galaxy debut. Although his presence on the field was not longer than fifteen minutes, because of his leg injury, all the Hollywood stars were present to show their support for the man the media is inclined to refer to (for some reason or another) as 'Mr. Golden Balls' (OK, I know why they call him that, but I just like pretending that I don't).

I'm not going to dwell too much on Bechkam's performance for the simple reason that I have absolutely no idea of what soccer (oh, sorry, football) is really all about. What I do know is that Becks got paid many millions to move to LA and that his arrival here, and debut, of course, was considered by both the media and the rest of the stars as some big social event.

To hell with the so-called 'weddings of the year', because Beck's 15 minutes on the field managed to draw more star power than any one of them! Hear this: there was even a red carpet outside, so that all the hot-shots who came to see the game be able to pose for pics... you know, like they do before the Oscars or other fancy events! Among those who strutted their stuff for the photographers, and who later cheered David on, were Mary Kate Olsen, Katie Holmes and Suri, Eva Longoria (sans husband), Alicia Silverstone, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brooke Shields and, of course, Posh and the Beckham boys.

Be that as it may, it seems that the Internet has reached a consensus on who was the hottest of all these celebrities and the winner was no other than Suri Cruise, who spent most of her time bouncing on her mommy's knees and laughing at the pretty people. And, when she wasn't doing that, she was having some good ol' fun with the Beckham boys. Suri, Katie, Eva and Posh were all seated in the VIP booth, as expected and interacted as little as possible with the rest of the world.

Not the same can be said about David who not only was received with loud cheers and applause from the public, but he also made some time for a couple of words with the media. 'My 15 minutes, it was nice to get out there. I haven't trained all week. I hadn't kicked a ball yet today. It was just nice to be out there with the lads and get this game over and done with. I enjoyed it.', he said when the game was over (LA Galaxy lost, btw).

These being said, we can conclude by simply saying that it pays to be a football star. You get to have the cutest baby (Suri) and the hottest alien robot (Victoria/Posh) to cheer you on!
