It looks like the promise to stop leaking documents that damage the United States made by Snowden to the Russian authorities isn’t going to be too hard to accomplish, since Greenwald already has thousands of documents.

The other documents that Snowden has in his possession aren’t likely to ever get in the media unless something happens to him, as it’s been repeatedly said, RT reports.

“I think there’s a real misconception over whether he’ll continue to leak. He turned over to us many thousands of documents weeks and weeks ago back in Hong Kong and we’ve been the ones deciding which stories get published and in which order. As far as I know he doesn’t have any intention of disclosing any more documents to us,” the journalist said.

Despite the fact that Greenwald is known to have all these top-secret documents leaked from the NSA servers, it seems that no government agency has tried to get its hands on them and have made no official demands.

The man who has interviewed Snowden several times and has kept contact with him over the past months says that Snowden didn’t flee the United States because he wanted to go to a country where human rights were the most protected.

“Obviously, he isn’t going to Venezuela or Ecuador or Bolivia or Nicaragua or Russia or wherever he ends up because he thinks they’re bastions of civil liberties protections. He’s going there because as Daniel Ellsberg said in a Washington Pot Op-Ed, this country is no longer safe for whistleblowers,” Greenwald states.

Six weeks ago, the first stories based on the leaked documents were published and the situation has just snowballed ever since. From espionage accusations that keep growing every week, to a constant manhunt to bring Snowden in front of the court, the entire situation seems to be on an upwards trend.
