The pulp and the skin are there for a reason, so throwing them away is a bad idea

Most people work on the assumption that the main reason for which doctors keep telling us to eat our daily portion of fruits has to do with the fact that this particular class of healthy snacks is a noteworthy source of vitamins.

Therefore, it should not really matter whether we choose to eat the fruits as such, or if we prefer to drink a glass of natural juice instead.

However, what more often than not escapes notice is the fact that, besides vitamins, fruits also contain fibers, which unfortunately are only present in their skin and in their pulp.

Therefore, the nutrients intake is significantly greater when one chooses to gulp down the entire apple rather than simply settle for drinking its juice.

No need to explain, the so-called “natural juices” presently sold in supermarkets are not at all a healthy option, regardless of what their label might say.

Just for the record, the World's Healthiest Fruits list only includes whole fruits, whilst fruit juices are not mentioned as a healthy way of eating.
