Presently, there are a lot of people quite jealous of their friends' “green thumbs.” However, thanks to Click and Grow, virtually anybody can become a gardener.

This is because all you have to do is purchase this high-tech flower pot, find a suitable place for it inside your home, add some water and batteries, and then sit back and allow a microchip do all the work.

According to Mashable, the Click and Grow is very much like a printer and toner: you have the electronics, sensors, batteries, a pump and a water reservoir in the pot, while the seeds, nutrients and software are all tucked away in a cartridge.

Moreover, the pots are reusable, so one can grow as many plants as one wishes without having to worry about producing too much trash.

One such flower pot costs $59 (roughly €46), and the cartridges cost $19.99 (about €15). Both of them can be bought online.

Some of the plant species you can grow are painted nettle, marigolds, basil, tomatoes and chili peppers.

Down below you have a video showing the Click and Grow in action.
