Blogger Jen Kluftinger says potato chip bags can easily be turned into wrapping paper

In late November, I introduced you to a plantable wrapping paper that sprouts veggies when put in the ground. It turns out that those who don't feel like growing their own personal garden can opt for another eco-friendly wrapping option this holiday season: old potato chip bags.

According to blogger Jen Kluftinger, potato chip bags make excellent wrapping paper. All one has to do is wash them and then use them to hide holiday gifts from peering eyes until Christmas morning.

Earth 911 says that Jen came up with this innovative wrapping idea after she found that all the other options available in stores were a tad too costly.

“I found some great metallic silver wrapping paper at the craft store, but it was so overpriced I just couldn’t justify buying it. So, I decided to try this instead,” Jen reportedly wrote on her blog.

I don't know about you, but I for one have to say that, judging by the picture above, there really isn't all that big of a difference between a gift wrapped in conventional paper and one wrapped in old potato chip bags.

Except for the fact that using potato chip bags to wrap presents is more eco-friendly than buying wrapping paper, that is.
