Green House figured it was high time it released a new collection of memory card on the Japanese market, only it decided to offer something a little different than usual, mostly by calling upon the power of color variety.

As end-users may or may not know, memory cards can be classified mainly according to the form factor and the performance.

Based on shape and size, there are SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC etc, while the Class rating system divides them according to performance.

The new memory cards that Green House developed are identical in terms of shape and size, as well as performance and even capacity.

Simply put, the company released six different versions of the same card, each colored one out of six available colors.

To be more specific, the cards launched bear the colors known as Cherry Pink, Mocha Brown, Leaf Green, Violet, Sky Blue and Sand, respectively.

With this as the only feature to differentiate them, what remains is to outline the actual specifications.

The new SDHC cards all have the same capacity of 8 GB and are compliant with the SD 3.0 standard while bearing a Class 10 rating.

This lets them achieve data writing speeds of up to 15 MB/s while reading can be done at a maximum of 20 MB/s.

The main element that allows the newcomers to operate at these speeds is the so-called dual-chip architecture.

Currently, only Japanese stores are receiving them, and the future may or may not see them expand their availability to other regions.

Regardless, they are backed by a three-year warranty, are sold in a bundle with a carrying case (a hard-shell case at that), as well as label stickers in the same color as the cards themselves.

Those interested in buying one of these 8 GB Green House creations will have to part with $41.
