Rock band Green Day topped the Kerrang! Award in London last night, with two prizes, for Best Band on the Planet and Best Live Band.
"Thank you very much," said the band's frontman, Billie Joe.
"We're drinking in your honour now. Thanks and thanks and thanks, whoever has the biggest hangover tomorrow should get an award next year."
My Chemical Romance took the Best Album award for 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge' and Best Video for 'Helena', while Foo Fighters' 'Best of You' was named Best Single. Metal group Funeral For a Friend won best British band and Killing Joke were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
Iron Maiden were inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame and rocker Marilyn Manson was honoured with the Icon award.
The ceremony was hosted by actress Juliette Lewis, lead singer of Juliette and the Licks.
