People in Argentina can now enjoy a sip or two of Coca Cola without having to worry about how their choice of beverage will impact on the environment.

That's because the company has recently launched Coca Cola Life, a product that is supposed to be both healthier than other sodas currently on the market and eco-friendly.

Sources say that Coca Cola Life is sweetened with sugar and stevia, which is why it packs less calories than other of the company's products.

Health benefits aside, what greenheads care about is the fact that the bottles in which this beverage is sold are fully recyclable. What's more, they are manufactured with 30% plant material.

Word has it that the containers, dubbed PlantBottles, have even won an award for how green they are.

“[The bottle] looks, functions and recycles just like traditional PET plastic, but does so with a lighter footprint on the planet and its scarce resources,” the company reportedly explained in a statement.

Here's hoping that Coca Cola's green bottles will soon be introduced in other countries as well.
