The development team at NetherRealm Studios has announced that the Green Arrow will be added to the roster of the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us, allowing players to get access to a fighter that’s focused on ranged bow attacks, but who can also dish out a lot of punishment up close.

The trailer released shows Green Arrow fighting with The Flash.

The addition was revealed via Entertainment Weekly and it seems that the DC Hero is being introduced to the fighting game just as he is about to get a new television show that will improve his overall visibility, which will focus on his exploits and that of his normal life alter-ego Oliver Queen.

The development team has already confirmed that Injustice will have heroes and villains from the DC Universe catalog, including: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Catwoman, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Cyborg and Solomon Grundy.

Injustice will be launched during April of next year on the Wii U, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
