Most people probably know a thing or two about the people inhabiting the Greek island of Ikaria and their having the highest rates of longevity in the world.

Long story short, 1% of these people make it over the age of 90, whereas a mere 0.1% of all Europeans can take pride in their growing to be this old.

A new study whose findings were published in the scientific journal Vascular Medicine says that these Greeks only ended up having such an envy-worthy life expectancy because of their regularly indulging in locally sourced coffee.

Thus, it is being said that, all things considered, Greek coffee is likely to hold the secret to people's living a long and relatively healthy life.

“Boiled Greek type of coffee, which is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants and contains only a moderate amount of caffeine, seems to gather benefits compared to other coffee beverages,” medical doctor Gerasimos Siasos sums up his and his colleagues findings concerning the health benefits of drinking Greek coffee on a daily basis.
