Broken Window Studios confirms that Grave, its highly anticipated open world survival horror title, is now coming to the PS4, as well as the Xbox One and PC platforms in 2015, and shares a few more details about the intriguing experience.

Grave was among the many different Kickstarter game projects that found success via the popular crowdfunding website, and developer Broken Window put the money to good use in order to deliver on its promise of a procedural survival horror experience that changes and keeps things interesting and spooky.

Grave is now coming to PS4, in addition to other platforms

After being confirmed for quite some time for an Xbox One release through the ID@Xbox program made by Microsoft for independent studios like Broken Window, the company reveals on the official website that Grave is now scheduled to surface on the PS4, as well as on the other new-generation console.

The studio emphasizes that the game is going to debut on the two devices at the same time and has complete parity in terms of performance and features, so those who own both platforms don't have to choose.

Broken Window also confirms a few more details about the actual game, focusing on the clever premise that uses the procedural mechanic to constantly change things and offer fresh elements to experience.

"Explore a dynamically procedural desert inspired by the early wild west landscape of America as you explore the game's unusual narrative. Fusing reality with unreality, locations fluctuate in and out of existence while you play and nightfall brings strange, threatening creatures that stalk you until dawn."

The gameplay, which sees players try to survive in front of different spooky creatures, also gets fleshed out, once again taking advantage of the random mechanic to offer a different challenge every time players go through it.

"Play Grave how you want to, setting up defensive fortifications to survive the night or arming yourself with offensive weapons to keep the creatures at bay. With procedurally populated enemies, items and even worlds, Grave weaves an unpredictable tale that will keep you in its grasp."

Players will be able to wield all sorts of weapons, including some unusual ones like matches, flashlights, flares, and, of course, fire, against the dark creatures.

Besides launching on the PS4 and Xbox One, Grave is also coming to the PC, Mac, and Linux platforms, although this is going to happen presumably after the console versions. Still, you have a reason to wait it out, as it will have support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset on those devices.
