Granny Is So Hot!

Just as, a few days ago, we were praising the gorgeous Christina Aguilera for her outfit choice at the Video Music Awards, today we feel compelled to say that maybe the 'Dirrty' singer is taking this classic, sixties-seventies-inspired look a bit too far.

Only then did women come out of their houses with their rollers and a headscarf on, and it was quite the hip thing to do. Back then, women apparently wore them all the time, except at big, fancy parties. It was sexy and it created a certain feeling of 'home-ness'. But the mold was broken once and for all and women refused to be portrayed as housewives from then on.

But now Christina enters, bringing fashion back. We can't help from wondering: is she also trying to make a statement or something, by going around town looking like grandma? A sexy and hot grandma, but still one (from the neck upwards, at least).

XTina proudly displayed her curlers and a black hairnet while going to a photo shoot, with them strongly contrasting to the short, skin-tight, black dress and the red lipstick. And we'll give her one point, that of perfectly matching her nail polish with her bag and shoes, such a small thing that few people pay attention to anymore.

We're almost sure that this Marilyn Monroe lookalike phase will end sometime in the near future. Or, at least, she could try and pull that gorgeous fairy tale princess thing again. It is sure to be more loved by her fans than the granny outfit...
