There's a new viral video in town, and its stars are an elderly woman and a virtual shark swimming around in an equally virtual aquarium at the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States.

The footage, available below this article, shows the woman being pranked into thinking that she was being attacked by a monster shark. According to Daily Mail, the video made it on YouTube in late June and has since gone viral.

Truth be told, the footage is nothing short of entertaining, so it's no wonder it is now bounced back and forth by members of the online community. Still, chances are that there are few who would enjoy going throw such an experience.

The video shows the elderly woman, whose identity has not yet been revealed, approaching a virtual aquarium that is part and parcel of the Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains exhibit at the International Spy Museum.

By the looks of it, the woman had no idea that the aquarium was not a real one at the time she first approached it. Otherwise put, she was oblivious to the fact that what she was looking at was not an actual glass panel, but a computer screen.

Besides, word has it that the woman did not figure out that the tank was not real not even when her grandchildren urged her to give it a tap. “Touch it. C'mon touch it. Keep touching,” the children kept telling the woman just before all fun broke loose.

While the woman was busy tapping into the supposed aquarium, a computer simulation made it look like a massive shark was trying to break free from its tank and attack the grandmother. Needless to say, the woman lost her nerve and fell to the ground screaming.

More so since this wacky computer simulation came complete with sound effects intended to add to the drama of the moment, and even images that made it look like the shark had thrown itself against the glass panel so hard that it had caused it to crack.

Luckily, the incident did not cause the woman to experience any health problems. On the contrary, the grandmother was back on her feet in a matter of seconds, and was even ready and willing to laugh the entire affair away. Needless to say, her children were equally – if not more – amused by the incident.

As funny as this prank might seem, it's important to remember that, all things considered, it's best not to try and scare folks who might not react to the experience as light-heartedly as this grandmother did.
