A grandmother eager to have her family visit her more has put in a driveway to her home ignoring the fact that the city installed a lamp post there days before.

“I’ve done it the wrong way round. I had the drive laid after the lamp went up,” Kathleen Annals admits.

A widow, Annals lives in Andover, Hampshire, and she has built the driveway for her relatives to have somewhere to park when they come over.

As you can see in the photo posted above, she cannot exactly use that driveway. However, officials on the Hampshire city council have proved very understanding and have agreed to move the post.

Nevertheless, Annals has been slapped with a £1,200 ($1,850 / €1,420) fee for relocation expenses, Mirror reports.

“I’m happy to foot the bill but I hope the council can shift it soon,” she says.
