It is quite wide, but not so tall that it sticks out in a living room

Home-theater personal computers have to be more compact than desktops because they need to pass as media players when installed in your sitting room.

Every once in a while, however, an HTPC case that dares to be larger than normal will appear, if only to allow you to give it the sort of capabilities gaming desktops can sport.

One such example is the SilverStone Grandia Series PC chassis, with support for both micro-ATX and ATX motherboards.

It is made of steel, but has a front door made of aluminum. Inside, you will find space for one 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch HDDs/SSDs, one 5.25-inch drive bay, and graphics cards of up to 12.2 inches / 310 mm. You can fit an ATX power supply inside as well.

All in all, the SilverStone Grandia GD10 chassis, bearing the part number SST-GD10B, measures 442 x 171 x 362 mm / 17.40 x 6.73 x 14.25 inches. The price is of €89.90 / $122.32.

The chassis ships with three pre-installed 120 mm fans, two of them on the right panel and one on the left. All work at 900 RPM (rotations per minute).

The Grandia GD10 will probably not seem all that large if you place it near a smart TV with a diagonal of 40-50 inches or more.
