Rockstar North hit the jackpot in 2003 with the release of GTA: Vice City. Of course the PS2 version of the game was a best-seller in the United States even in 2006 (it was surpassed only by its sequel GTA: San Andreas). Basically, you get in the shoes of a certain Tommy Vercetti, recently released out of the Liberty City prison.
The game is all about Tommy’s attempts to re-establish himself within the Forelli Mafia family. Spanning drug trafficking, contract killing, counterfeiting and protection are only some of the jobs you’ll have to attend to. Seeing as the gangsters are some of the most popular characters lately, Vice City benefited from a huge amount of inspiration sources. Many themes in the game are borrowed from the Scarface movie and the ‘80s hit TV series Miami Vice. Other notable references include Top Gun, Taxi, Heat, Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and part II of The Godfather.
Aside from the fashionable cars of the ‘80s and a huge diversity of weapons (about 35 of them), one of the great aspects of the game is the sound. The in-car radio stations will please your ears with all kinds of music you’d like. Each station covers a certain genre such as rock, pop or rap. Famous real life artists are featuring on the soundtrack like Judas Priest, Toto, Blondie, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne, INXS, Michael Jackson, Bryan Adams, Mr. Mister, Luther Vandross, Kool & the Gang, Spandau Ballet, Wang Chung, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has raised tons of controversy over the years, been rated as a violent game. After all, all the crazy things that you can do in-game is sure to make your priest blush. Just so you won’t have to do all that prostitute picking-up and car thefts or killings (although it surely won’t be so much fun without all of these) here are some cheat codes for you to gain respect faster within the Mafia rankings. Unlockable Secret CarsBlack Voodoo - Steal it during the "Two Bit Hit" mission.
Bloodring Banger - Complete the Bloodring event at Hyman Memorial Stadium and two will spawn in the nearby parking lot.
BP/EP/DP/FP Admiral - Steal it during the "Guardian Angels" mission.
Deluxo - Complete the first list of cars at the car showroom and it will spawn on the first floor. The list is on the wall down by the garages.
Hotring Racer - Complete the fourth list of cars at the car showroom and it will spawn on the second floor.
Love Fist Limo - Take it to a garage during one of the Love Fist missions in which you drive the limo.
Romero's Hearse - Steal it during the final Avery Carrington Mission
Sabre Turbo - Complete the second list of cars at the car showroom and it will spawn on the first floor.

Skimmer - Complete all the Film Studio Missions and it will spawn behind the Film Studio.
