A fictional website from the franchise's universe has started being updated

While both Rockstar and Take-Two are reticent about confirming a launch date for Grand Theft Auto V, the two companies have begun the viral marketing campaign for the new game by updating some of the fictional websites from the GTA universe, starting with the page of the Epsilon Program religion.

Grand Theft Auto V takes players back to Los Santos, the franchise’s answer to Los Angeles. Sadly, not much else is known about the game, as both Rockstar and Take-Two have limited themselves to saying that it’s still in development and that more details will be made available when the time is right.

This lack of info hasn’t stopped the companies from starting a viral campaign for GTA V, as a Take-Two-owned website for the fictional Epsilon Program religion has started receiving updates.

Fans of the GTA series will remember the Epsilon Program as a parody of the Church of Scientology that bows down to an alien overlord called Kifflom. As with many outlandish religions, the Epsilon Program relies on donations from the true believers, so both its website and its Twitter account ask for money.

Expect other fake websites related to GTA to restart their activity soon enough.
