Rockstar Games has now just confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V, its long-awaited open world game, is available for pre-order at a variety of retailers from around the world, ahead of its spring 2013 release date.

GTA V is eagerly awaited by tens of millions of people from all over the world and now, after releasing lots of screenshots and artwork, developer Rockstar Games has just confirmed that the game is available for pre-order with a variety of retailers from all around the world.

According to the studio, the game can be pre-purchased for the two platforms that have already been confirmed: the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and already both "brick and mortar" retailers like GameStop, Best Buy, or Walmart, as well as online ones, like Amazon, are accepting pre-orders.

Rockstar also confirmed via its Newswire that more info will be revealed about GTA V soon thanks to cover story in Game Informer magazine and that a new trailer for the game will be made available in the near future.
