The action-adventure video game is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 18 and on January 27 to PC

One of the best-selling video games of all time, Grand Theft Auto V, is apparently getting an exciting new feature in the upcoming next-gen version, namely first-person point of view when walking around and driving.

The feature was discovered by Reddit user DrOversight, who came across a premature update to the Rockstar Games support forums, listing a bit of information regarding what's coming our way in the enhanced editions of GTAV.

The page was, of course, taken down since, but fortunately the Google web cache entry still has all the information intact, enabling us to get a glimpse of the new features Rockstar is packing in.

First-person POV mode will offer players a brand new perspective

The most important thing is, by far, the addition of a first-person point of view that will be enabled both when you're on foot, as well as when driving, showing the interior of the vehicle you're steering, complete with working speedometers, tachometer, dash lights, and all the rest.

Other neat things that Rockstar is allegedly preparing are a lot of new Easter Eggs and random events for Story Mode, a bunch of new animals roaming the streets of Los Santos (the developer has already shown a picture of a cat walking around like a boss), and an overhauled character selection screen.

In addition to this, players that opt to transfer their existing characters from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will receive some free weapons and a free garage in Grand Theft Auto Online.

While the page looks legitimate, and may have been posted early by mistake, the possibility of an erroneous posting is not to be dismissed, so you should definitely take this with a decently sized grain of salt until official word comes.

Not too shabby, even without it

Although the addition of a first-person view mode would certainly bring a new dimension to the action-adventure video game, even without it, GTAV on Xbox One, PS4 and PC is still a pretty big deal.

The game will ship with all the content in the last-gen release, and will feature a host of improvements all across the board, including some exclusive new content.

The biggest difference by far, though, will be in the visual department, but Rockstar has also mentioned that a wealth of technical tweaks have been operated into the game, allowing users to experience a more immersive gameplay experience.

Grand Theft Auto V is coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system from Sony and the Xbox One home console from Microsoft on November 18, 2014, followed a little bit later by the PC edition, set to take off on January 27, 2015.
