Rockstar Games has confirmed that it's going to release patch 1.05 for Grand Theft Auto 5 next week and that, following the update's deployment, it will finally start handing out the free Grand Theft Auto Online stimulus package.

GTA 5 made its debut back in September and, right on October 1, Rockstar Games turned on the game's multiplayer mode, immediately encountering quite a few problems due to the huge number of players who wanted to try out the online mode.

Since then, Rockstar has launched several patches and pledged that, for all their problems, players would get a special GTA Online Stimulus Package, meaning 500,000 in GTA$.

After promising different release periods for the long awaited virtual money, the studio has now confirmed on its Newswire that the cash will be transferred at the end of next week.

According to Rockstar, GTA 5 will get a new update, in the form of patch 1.05 at the start of next week, and after that it will begin to offer the stimulus package.

"Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week. Following that, we hope to deliver everyone’s GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week. A big thank you to GTA Online players worldwide for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to keep you all updated."

Unfortunately for fans, no exact release dates for the patch or the money were offered by the studio, so it's still up in the air when they should expect the two important updates to happen.

After Rockstar sorts out the ongoing issues with GTA Online, it has already confirmed that several free DLC packs, like the Beach Bum one or the Content Creator, will appear in the future, so expect to hear more about them soon enough.
