Grand Theft Auto IV was by far the biggest game to appear back in 2008, managing to sell a record number of copies, and followed up that success with the release of two downloadable expansions, entitled The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Now, it seems that its developer, Rockstar, wants to further expand the success of the game with the launch of a complete edition, which has now been spotted in the wild, listed by online retailer Amazon.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, at least according to the listing by the online company, will contain the regular GTA IV story, with immigrant Niko Bellic as the main star, but also the two main expansions, the Lost and Damned, with biker Johnny Klebitz, and the Ballad of Gay Tony, with night club manager Luis Lopez.

There were two listings available, one for the Xbox 360 and one for the PlayStation 3, but no PC edition, even though all of the aforementioned titles were eventually released for that platform.

The price was a very attractive 40 U.S. dollars, which was the same tag for the bundled GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City that contained the two downloadable expansions.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition was dated for an October 26 release by Amazon, so the lack of an official announcement from Rockstar is pretty puzzling.

Grand Theft Auto IV managed to sell well over 13 million copies in its first year, while the episodic content packs were hyped as being the most successful ever to be released, even though they were priced at a higher than usual 20 dollars each.

If the listing turns out to be true, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition might be just the thing for those who missed out on the first GTA experience, and a perfect gift right in time for the holidays.
