The game can be purchased for only $2.99 until December 29

One week after its official launch “Grand Theft Auto III” goes on sale in the Android Market. Rockstar Games has just announced it has slashed 40% off the game’s original price.

 

All in all, fans of the franchise can now purchase the Android version for only $2.99, instead of paying the $4.99 full price.

 

The promotional offer is available through December 29, after which the title will go back to its original price.

 

“Grand Theft Auto III” can be purchased via Android Market and is compatible with devices running Android 2.2 and up.

 

The game is compatible with the following Android smartphone: Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Droid Bionic, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, Samsung Galaxy S2, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, T-Mobile G2x.

 

In addition, the game is supported by Android tablets as well: Acer Iconia Tabs, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive.
