14 DAY TRIAL // The team at BBC in charge of the new Make It Digital initiative is planning to create a television program which will focus on the development process of the Grand Theft Auto series and on the types of controversies that it has generated.
According to Develop, the company has gained special access to the team at Rockstar and wants to make sure that it tells the story of the British gaming development team that has revolutionized a genre and also created a commercial juggernaut.
Violence will be one of the most important topics that the BBC wants to focus on, showing both the way the Grand Theft Auto series gives players unparalleled freedom and the variety of groups that have campaigned against it.
The Make It Digital series is designed to get more people interested in coding and will also deliver episodes focused on Doctor Who and on Eastenders.
It will be interesting to see how the television show treats the very popular franchise and whether it will focus more on the technical aspects or on the way the public has reacted to it.
Rockstar is focusing on the Online side of GTA V
The most recent installment in the series has introduced the Online mode for the first time and the developers who created it are aiming to make it the kind of experience that players will be able to engage with for a very long time.
Recently, the Heists update has been introduced, delivering five very big missions with multiple sections and choices and also introducing new Players versus Player activities for the fan base.
It will also be part of the PC version of GTA V when it is released in early April.
Rumors are also suggesting that before the end of the year, the open world title will get a first single-player expansion, which will focus on entirely new characters, with an official announcement probably coming before E3 2015.
Rockstar has also said that more tools will be offered to those playing the Online mode so that they can create more complex experiences and then share them with the rest of the community.
