GTA 5 has just been delayed once more on the PC platform, with Rockstar Games confirming that the title needs a few extra weeks of polishing and is now set to appear on March 24. To make the wait more bearable, the studio has presented the official system requirements and some gorgeous screenshots at 4K resolution.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been around for some time now, appearing first back in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and then in November of 2014 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, the PC edition has been delayed several times, first being set to debut alongside the new console versions last November, and then being pushed back to January of this year.

A brand new delay has been made

Now, developer Rockstar Games confirms on the official newswire that yet another delay has been made to GTA 5 for the PC. According to the studio, extra time for polishing and testing is needed, so now the game is going to debut on March 24.

"Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March," the studio says.

New details are available

Besides this tough announcement, Rockstar has confirmed a few more technical details about GTA 5 for PC, starting with the fact that its GTA Online multiplayer will support up to 30 players and will come with the long-awaited online heists, which are also set to appear in March for the console editions of the game.

GTA 5 on PC runs great at 1080p and 60fps, and even supports 4K resolution or triple-monitor setups. The title comes with the Rockstar Editor, which allows players to edit, create, and publish gameplay clips directly onto the Social Club or YouTube.

Minimum and recommended PC specs are official

Last but not least, Rockstar has also offered the official minimum and recommended PC requirements that must be met by players who want to run the game come March 24. The specs are quite decent but a few quirks, such as 64-bit operating systems, are present.
