14 DAY TRIAL // Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to receive a brand new major content update for its GTA Online multiplayer mode, in the form of the Ill-Gotten Gains one, which launches next week. Until then, developer Rockstar Games shares a few screenshots showcasing the new cars, guns, and more coming inside it.
GTA 5 made its debut during the last few years on different platforms, launching first on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September of 2013, then on PS4 and Xbox One in November of 2014, and more recently on PC in April.
Since then, developer Rockstar Games has released several patches for the PC version in order to eliminate issues and fix exploits, while promising to bring more content to the GTA Online mode soon enough.
The Ill-Gotten Gains launches next week
Now, the studio is finally sharing actual details about the long-awaited content update for GTA 5, which is called Ill-Gotten Gains.
As its name suggests, the patch brings all sorts of new things which players with lots of in-game cash can purchase, from new cars with special liveries or features, to gold-plated guns or even new clothes to showcase their opulence.
"Due to a surge in high-end crime across southern San Andreas, demand for luxury goods and services is at an all-time high. Upscale merchants of all kinds are scrambling to fill their inventories to serve the newly wealthy. The first of two major deliveries this summer will be hitting the showrooms of luxury car dealerships, the shelves of top arms suppliers and other prestigious retailers in June," Rockstar explains on its website.
For now, just a few screenshots depicting some of the exclusive gear are available, so expect to hear more next week, when the actual content update is going to be released for GTA 5 across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Rockstar promises that more high-end goodies will appear this summer, so expect another round of ill-gotten gains.
