The development team at Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony are ready to reveal the opening movie for Gran Turismo 6, which is set to be launching today on the PlayStation 3 all over the world.

The two companies state, "The official GT6 opening movie that features never seen before footage of worldwide locations and automotive design studios never seen before to the public."

The theme of the footage seems to be the emotions that racing and cars can create and the way the virtual experience can replicate them for all players.

Gran Turismo 6 has more than 1,100 cars for players to try out and there are more than 70 tracks that the developers have carefully simulated.

Its closest competitor is Forza Motorsport 5, which was created by Turn 10 and is only offered on the Xbox One from Microsoft.
