14 DAY TRIAL // All is right in the world again: Kanye West and Taylor Swift have been hating each other (allegedly so) since 2009, when he walked up on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, snatched the Best Video award from her hands and proclaimed that Beyonce deserved to have won it.
However, last night at the Grammys 2015, airing live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the two made peace. Not only did they shake hands and exchanged pleasantries without the world imploding but they also posed for photos together and had actual physical contact, huddling for the pic.
Moreover, Kanye broke his widest smile for the occasion, even though he’s of the opinion that if he smiles in photos he won’t look as regal as 19th century aristocrats did in paintings. I wish this were a joke, but he actually said this: smiling is a very uncool thing to do.
From photos available online, it looks like it was Taylor who went over to where Jay Z was chatting with Kanye, and after shaking hands with both, posed for pictures.
Of course, the reconciliation is probably due to Kanye entirely, because he was the one who managed to forgive Taylor for robbing Beyonce of her award. This probably explains why he picked on Beck last night, saying that he should have handed the Best Album to Beyonce since he wasn’t artist enough to deserve it.
Kanye probably forgave Taylor because he found someone else to pick on.
