The music industry is getting ready to celebrate outstanding accomplishment from musicians for the year 2014, with Grammy announcing the nominations for the 2015 edition, which will be taking place on February 8 and air live on CBS.

Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams, aka two of the hottest artists right now, unveiled the nominees for the major categories at the Grammys 2015. You can watch a video of the announcement over at CBS or check out the list available below.

For the 57th edition, we have the usual "culprits" like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Miranda Lambert, Katy Pery and Coldplay, but we also have a few surprises.

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is basically everywhere, which could be seen as confirmation that she’s more than just a flash in the pan and has actual staying power. Meghan Trainor, who got everyone out of their seat dancing with "All About That Bass," is also getting plenty of love.

Sam Smith, everyone’s favorite crooner right now, is getting recognition and is considered most likely to be adding to his collection of awards at least one Grammy. However, the most surprising nominee is Miley Cyrus, who is actually in the running with her "Bangerz" album.

This studio material received solid reviews, but Miley has been getting a lot of bad press as of late for her on-stage and private antics (which aren’t really private because she keeps posting them on social media). Apparently, the Grammys don’t want to hear about that and are only focusing on the music.

Speaking of music, below are the nominees in the major categories announced so far. The Grammys will be on February 8, so make sure to tune in to see if your favorite gets to go home with the award.
