Queen of Pop mooned photographers, ignored Ryan Seacrest

Madonna hasn’t been having the best year of her life, mostly because the music she’d been working on for some time was stolen and then leaked online, amounting to over a dozen of new songs, some of which may or may not be included on her upcoming album “Rebel Heart.”

It was either that or the fact that she’s done with all this red carpet nonsense around big events like last night’s Grammys 2015, taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, that made her act out during said red carpet ceremony - in the rudest manner possible, no less.

Matador, killer fashion

So Madonna was announced as one of the performers of the night, with The Recording Academy saying she would premiere her brand new single, “Living for Love,” on the Grammy stage. Considering she had just introduced the official music video a couple of days before the gala, it made a lot of sense to expect to see a diluted version of that up on stage.

Indeed, Madonna and a very large troupe of backup dancers, all male and shirtless and wearing leather pants and bejeweled face masks and black horns, took over the stage and simulated the closest thing to a bullfight.

Madonna was, of course, the matador, so she wore a Givenchy custom-made outfit drawing on a bullfighter traditional costume for inspiration, only with a bit more pushup, a corset and fishnet tights.

To Ryan Seacrest’s surprise, she wore a similar outfit on the red carpet and throughout the gala: the one you can see in the photos in the gallery. It was Givenchy too, and it came in black and was very “busy,” from the peeptoe heels to the face veil, the rings, the long leather gloves and the manicure.

It looked extremely uncomfortable as well, but that’s Madonna for you: at least no one can blame her for not making an effort to make a spectacular entrance.

Mooning cameras on the red carpet

Since we’re on the topic of making memorable entrances, Madonna did something that, while not out of character, was unexpected and, as such, very rude. Photos over at BuzzFeed show her mooning the cameras as she turned to walk away from the area designated for celebrities to pose for the cameras.

We imagine the photographers were screaming for her to come back and pose some more, but she wanted to get inside as quickly as possible, having already done her few-minute bit in the spotlight.

Perhaps she wanted to give them and us something to talk about, so she decided to be a tad cheekier than usual. To most, her gesture was simply rude and out of place, but the people in her entourage seemed amused by it.

Madonna freezes Ryan Seacrest out

Madonna’s rudeness didn’t stop here either: before the mooning, she walked the red carpet with Diplo and Nas, who have been working with her on the new album, and they stopped to talk to Ryan Seacrest from E! a bit, as tradition calls.

The video below is a segment from the super awkward interview that has been dubbed the most painful moment on the red carpet. Not only did it make it very clear that she and Diplo and Nas hate each other but she also refused to turn to face Seacrest, who was interviewing her.

At one point, he was literally shooting questions at the back of her head and she continued to act as if she didn’t notice. Seacrest too used the chance to take a jab at her, looking over her outfit and asking her if she’d arrived in her stage costume because she didn’t plan to change for the performance.
