Beyonce fans (aka the Beyhive) are very serious about everything, and that includes the awards she should have won but didn’t because she was robbed (!!!) by the voting members of The Recording Academy. So the Beyhive went after the guy who did win, Beck.

What they didn’t expect was any kind of resistance, so what happened before IPs started to get blocked was that a war of words had started right there, on Beck’s Wikipedia.

Beyonce fans go after the “Grammy stealer”

Initial reports said that only one fan was responsible for defacing the artist’s page, and he eventually identified himself on Twitter as Alec Rizley.

Alec describes himself as “just a kid with incredibly awkward hands,” but he’s not awkward when it comes to professing his love for Queen Bey and voicing the sense of injustice he’s feeling that she didn’t win Album of the Year with her massively successful “Beyonce” album.

However, while he claims he was the one who “hacked” the page, he wasn’t exactly the only one; several others edited the page to include all kinds of hilarious mentions, all of which make one thing crystal clear: Beyonce fans believe Beck is irrelevant on today’s music scene, to the point where they can’t even remember having heard of him before the big Grammy upset.

Even if they had heard of him before, we get a feeling they still wouldn’t have cared because, in their eyes, Beyonce was the only one who should have picked up the Grammy for Album of the Year, end of discussion.

Beck fans fight back, hilarity ensues

Alec wasn’t the only one to edit Beck’s Wikipedia page and he wasn’t even the only one to do so to post negative things about Beyonce, in Beck’s defense.

That’s right: as the photos in the gallery below show, within minutes, the page looked like a warzone, with contradictory statements included at the same time, coming from the opposing camps. So while Beck was an irrelevant Grammy thief, he was also a true artist while Beyonce was nothing but a mere cog in the huge pop machine.

The feuding continued on social media long after edits to the page in question were no longer allowed: you can still find instances of it on Twitter, under the hashtag #Beckhive, for instance.

Beck fans love a good pun like nothing else, so they took the Beyhive and turned it into something else.

As expected, neither artist involved in this has responded or engaged in this “feud” in any way, and experience says it will probably die down later this week. These things rarely last for much longer.
