Beyonce and husband Jay Z were the opening act at the 2014 Grammy Awards, held live from Los Angeles at the Staples Center, and they made sure the millions of people watching would remember their performance. All music considerations aside, Beyonce also did that by showing off her very toned but still curvy figure.

While the Internet is still reeling from what is justly deemed the hottest and most sensual performance of the night, and angry voices can still be heard on how Beyonce was completely classless for scooping so low as to put on such a suggestive performance, trainer Nicole Winhoffer is here to dish out tips on how to get her amazing figure.

Beyonce has always been in great shape but, as fans have probably noticed, she was never this slender because she tended to be slightly less muscular.

Winhoffer, whose client list also includes Madonna for the past several years, tells the Daily Mail that the secret to Beyonce’s new figure is in the way she works the muscles, because she doesn’t do it in a linear fashion, but rather in a 360-degree motion.

“Shaping the muscles at 360 degrees is important to maintain a feminine figure, rather than the conventional linear motion you see by using machines at gyms,” she says for the tab.

“We can see a major change in her body from previous years. She represents female empowerment and embodies it on stage, her body is lean and elongated but most importantly, feminine. She was able to keep her V shape while maintaining her rear, keeping it plump and lifted,” the trainer explains.

Winhoffer says that she always strives to help her clients slim down while also maintaining their curves. However, a new diet might also be in order: Beyonce, for instance, probably owes her slimmer figure to the 22-day vegan challenge she took with husband Jay Z back in December.

Winhoffer suggests the following exercises to tone the backside, slim the waistline, and eventually get a figure like Beyonce’s, courtesy of the aforementioned publication:

- Tone the backside: Position yourself on all fours. Stretch one leg straight behind the knee of the other. Pulse the sole of your foot towards the ceiling 50 times. - To cinch the waist: Sit on your butt, feet together. Recline back to 45 degrees and twist right and left 50 times. - To lose back fat: Position yourself in a plank (balanced on your toes and elbows with your body in a straight line.) Open one arm to the ceiling, then alternate with the other. Repeat 40 times. - To cinch inner thighs: Lie on your back with knees bent. Bridge pump - raise your hips to the ceiling and back down again. Squeeze the inner thighs as you lift your hips off the ground.
