14 DAY TRIAL // Disney has chosen the music industry’s biggest night to reveal a brand new trailer for one of its most anticipated live action films: “Maleficent” got a brand new video, complete with a gorgeous sample of a fresh Lana Del Rey song, at the Grammys 2014.
You can see it in full and in HD above and, without exaggeration, let me tell you that there’s just one word that best describes it: “wow.”
It plays more like a music video than a trailer in the common sense of the word, in that there’s very little dialog, so that viewers can get a good listen at Lana’s new song, which was written specifically for the OST.
Called “Once Upon a Dream,” it is available for free on Google Play, for a limited time so, if you like the snippet that you hear above, go ahead and download it: you have until February 3 to do so.
“Maleficent” will be out in theaters on May 30, 2014. Angelina Jolie plays the villainous Disney character (and she seems to be doing so with the utmost relish), while Elle Fanning is Princess Aurora. Sharlto Copley and Juno Temple also star.
