Well, talk about bad timing! Last night at the 2014 Grammy Awards, when the winner of the biggest category was announced, Album of the Year, for a split second, Taylor Swift thought she’d won. Her untimely reaction has already gone viral.

You can see how it all went down in the video above. Taylor’s reaction comes in at 1:34 but it’s best rendered in the GIF below which, to be honest, is absolutely mesmerizing.

Alicia Keys, Yoko Ono, and Olivia Harrison walked on stage to present Album of the Year and, after reading out the nominees as is customary, they proceeded to announce that the winner was “Random Access Memories” from Daft Punk.

Taylor’s album, for which she was nominated, is called “Red,” so they start with the same letter. When she heard the “R,” she already freaked out thinking it would be her name the three ladies would call out.

As it turns out, it wasn’t and, even though she eventually played it cool, getting up for a standing ovation for the actual winners, that brief instant when she thought she’d won and the following second, when she realized she hadn’t, is all people are talking about today.

To Taylor’s credit, she wasn’t the only one to be deceived this way. If you look closely, everyone around her jumped at the same time when they heard the letter “R,” thinking “Red” would be announced as winner.
