14 DAY TRIAL // As tradition goes, after a bride becomes a wife, at the wedding reception, she throws away her bridal bouquet, and whoever catches it will be next. If there’s any truth to this, Katy Perry will soon be walking down the aisle.
No less than 33 gay and straight couples were married at the Grammys 2014, during a performance by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and Madonna, with Queen Latifah officiating. Katy caught the bouquet.
She posted the photo above to her Instagram, with the caption, “Congrats to all the #samelove couples tonight. You had me in tears of joy for y'all! Also... Look who caught the bouquet!!! #okuuuurrrr.”
Video of the very emotional moment (seriously, all celebrities were wiping tears from their eyes at the end) is embedded below: right at the very end, you can see one of the brides giving Katy the bouquet so, yes, while she didn’t technically catch it, she did end up with it in her hands.
She’s laughing happily while her brother, her date for the night, looks on.
Katy is now dating singer John Mayer and, even though she said they weren’t making any wedding plans just yet, it seems the idea of tying the knot with him is quite thrilling for her.
