Count on Meek Mill to throw a Grammy party so big and wild that the cops would come to shut it down. The rapper invited more than a thousand of his celebrity friends to party with him after the 2014 Grammy Awards, and he offered them a night to remember.

TMZ reports that the party took place at a rented mansion on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills, which hosted over 1,000 guests. A live camel and lion were also on hand for guests to take pictures with: the photo above was posted to Meek Mill’s Instagram and shows the camel being moved from one place to another.

Celebrity guests included Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nelly, Birdman, Jermaine Dupri, and Bow Wow.

At around 5 in the morning, the police – the California Highway Patrol – showed up and shut everything down.

“Sources inside the party tell us most of the guests were shuttled up to the mansion – but others parked illegally along Mulholland – and cops were towing cars as the sun came up. Hundreds of guests were stranded, wandering the street trying to get home,” the report notes.

Meek Mill found the humor in the situation, tweeting that he had coughed up $200,000 (€146,541) but at least he ended up on TMZ. Diddy confirmed the story, tweeting simply “#crazy.”
