The 2013 Grammy Awards were all about Adele but, this year, she chose to sit out the ceremony that took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, and watch it from the comfort of her own home. Still, she wished she’d been there, if only to collect her 10th award.
Indeed, the British songbird won another Grammy at this year’s edition, thanks to her work on the song “Skyfall,” from the OST for the movie of the same name, the latest James Bond installment. “Skyfall” lists Adele as songwriter, but she also performs it.
When she was announced as winner of the Best Song Written for Visual Media, Adele took to her Twitter to thank her fans who had supported her along and without whom her career would mean nothing.
“Wish I was there! Thank you for the grammy! (My 10th one! Whhaaa?). Have a wonderful night. I'm in bed, now feeling very restless x,” she wrote.
Adele is now said to be working on new music, after taking some time off for her family. She and boyfriend Simon Konecki have a 15-month son together, Angelo, and Adele stopped all public appearances since when she was still pregnant.
