14 DAY TRIAL // With all this talk about the big winners of the night at the 2013 Grammy Awards, it’s almost too easy to forget that Prince won the Grammys – and all he had to do was just show up.
Below is a video of the music icon making a very rare public appearance to present Record of the Year.
Sporting massive shades, a feathery leather jacket with a huge statement necklace instead of a shirt, a hoodie and a sparkly cane, Prince walked on stage to wild applause.
He handed the award to Gotye and Kimbra (for “Somebody That I Used to Know”), both of whom were gracious enough to turn their big moment into a tribute of sorts for Prince, who stood smiling on the side.
They were also completely overwhelmed by the honor done on them.
It was definitely a memorable moment – and a very sweet one as well. Check it out!
