Grammys 2013: Kelly Clarkson Pays Tribute to the Classics

They don’t call her the American Idol for nothing: at last night’s Grammy Awards, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Kelly Clarkson put her incredible pipes on show with a tribute to the classics.

Check out the video above for the performance. I can guarantee you won’t be sorry you did.

Kelly, looking stunning in black and sporting a new, lighter ‘do, opened with “Tennessee Waltz” as a tribute to Patti Page, and then eased into “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” from Carole King.

Even if you’re not a fan of her music, there’s no denying she’s immensely talented.

That same night, Kelly took to the stage to accept the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Stronger,” her most recent album.

Loved her performance...what a voice! And nice tribute to two true greats!!! Carole King is an absolutely amazing song writer, and I love her singing too.
