Grammys 2013: Cissy Houston Says Clive Davis’ Invite Is “Obscene”

Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party is one of the biggest events of the year but Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston, thinks it’s “obscene” that she was invited to this year’s bash.

As fans must remember, Whitney died last year, as she was getting ready to attend Davis’ party. He had been her mentor and good friend for years, so she was always invited.

Still, Cissy thinks it’s in bad taste for Davis to send her an invitation as well.

“I got an invitation to the party, which is the most obscene thing. I don't know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know?... I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake,” she is quoted as saying.

She might not be attending, but Whitney’s brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pat, will be there, to “support Clive.”
