Richard Marx is the latest singer to bash the Grammys for extending an invitation to Chris Brown after he beat girlfriend Rihanna to a pulp back in 2009. He’s going public with it no less.
On his Twitter
, Marx is lashing out at the Grammys – and the music industry in general – for being so quick to forgive and forget about what Brown did to Rihanna.
“‘Risque’ clothing banned
at Grammys but guys who beat up women? Come ooonnn downnnnn..... #goodcallgrammys,” Marx writes.
He also retweets, “What exactly is community service for Chris Brown - not punching a woman for 500 hours? In a row?” just in case you missed the point about how he wasn’t ok with how Brown was being welcomed back by the industry.
Above is Richard Marx’s “Hazard,” a track many of us grew up with – those of us older than 25, at least. A talent like that is more than entitled to an opinion, even if Brown’s fans might disagree with it.
