Bruno Mars didn't win anything at last night's Grammy Awards 2012, but he definitely didn't leave for home with a bruised ego, considering the reception he got for his live performance.

The singer, nominated for no less than 6 categories, took to the stage early in the evening and performed “Runaway Baby.”

Anyone who has seen Bruno Mars ever perform live knows that he has a knack for making his shows truly memorable; in fact, he's one of the few artists who sound better on stage than they do in the studio.

The same happened last night, when he brought old-school glitz and glamor to the show with his incendiary performance.

Mars sang with gusto and passion and, even if he didn't win anything, he scored major points with his fans with his live gig.

Watch it in full below and, of course, enjoy.

A few corrections: Bruno was up for 6 awards last night not 5. The song he performed is called "Runaway Baby," (not "Runaway) and he was not nominated for it. His song nominations were all for "Grenade," and there were 1 or 2 nominations for the entire album, titled "Doo-Wops and Hooligans."

Reg, you're absolutely right! A correction has been made, my bad. Thank you for this :)

Best,

bruno for mars should have gotten the grammy. He and his group are phenomenol and his songs are written in depth compared to adele, her looks and dress have alot to be be desired, and her songs, Where did she get that from ? Maybe Paul M had something to do with her winning. But no , i am a performer as well, and her act and her music has a lot to be desired. Somebody should have gotten her off stage, she ruined the show.
