Amy Winehouse's music is the legacy that she left with us, her parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse told the audience at the Grammy Awards 2012, as they accepted her award for Best Performance by a Pop Duo or Group.

Amy won for her duet with Tony Bennett, “Body and Soul.” Her parents traveled from the UK to accept the award and, as the video above will show, to draw attention to the charity work they're doing on her behalf.

Winehouse died last summer from alcohol poisoning and her parents have vouched to use her name to help other people who might be dealing with the same problems she had her entire life.

“We shouldn't be here. Our darling daughter should be here. But these are the cards that were dealt,” her dad Mitch said.

“We formed the Amy Winehouse Foundation in her name. Our job is to help children in her name, primarily in the United Kingdom and the USA. There’s lots of kids in the USA and the UK that need Amy’s help and your help,” he added.

Janis, Amy's mother, also said a few words, even though she was very nervous.
