14 DAY TRIAL // She's always been considered a beautiful girl, but Adele truly managed to wow at last night's Grammy Awards 2012. Not only did she win all 6 out of 6 awards she was nominated for, but she also debuted a dramatic new look.
The singer, who stepped out in public for the first time in some months since going under the knife, looked completely stunning in Armani Prive – rocking a slimmer figure and a new 'do.
Fans must know that Adele had surgery on her vocal chords late last year, to treat a recurring hemorrhage that was threatening to cost her voice altogether.
Since then, she's been on voice rest and has been keeping a very low profile.
This was all the more reason to go for a dramatic look at the Grammys, especially since she must have known she was a favorite to win in all the major categories she was nominated for.
While she took no risks with fashion, Adele added plenty of oomph to her outfit with honey blonde hair, dramatic and pinup-inspired makeup, and a much slimmer figure.
The Mirror even goes as far as to brand her a “bombshell” - and it's all thanks to the new, blonde hairdo.
“Showing off her svelte new figure in a bell-sleeved boucle black dress complete with sewn-in sequins and pillarbox-red lipstick, Adele looked every inch the Hollywood siren as she sashayed down the Grammy’s red carpet,” the British tab writes.
“And that ‘do! The singer has lopped off most of her signature ‘60s backcombed bouffant instead favoring a big n’ bouncy LOB (long bob) in lighter, honey blonde hues,” adds the same media outlet.
The blonde contrasted heavily with her pale skin and firey red lipstick, and guaranteed that all eyes were on her while she posed for pictures on the red carpet.
Aesthetic considerations aside, Adele was also “the bomb” at the Grammys for her music achievements: she won all 6 awards she was nominated for, and put on a performance that will undoubtedly go down in history.
