Taylor Swift was the second favorite at last night’s Grammy Awards and came out as the second biggest winner as well, taking home no less than 4 wins of 8 nominations. The country singer won the biggest award, Album of the Year, and put on an amazing performance, complete with a duet with Stevie Nicks, as E! Online can confirm.

2009 turned out to be a wonderful year for Taylor, which saw her rise to the top of all music charts in most territories and literally became one of the most sought after young artists of the moment. The 2010 Grammys made that official, with the star taking home 4 awards, 2 less than Beyonce, who set a new record for most wins by a female artist in a single night. Swift also won Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Song for “White Horse” and Best Country Album.

“Thank you so much. I just hope you know how much this means to me and to Nathan [Chapman], my producer, and to all these musicians you see on this stage, that we get to take this back to Nashville! Our families are freaking out in the living room! My dad and my little brother are losing their minds in the living room right now. This is for my dad - thank you for all those times you said I could do whatever I wanted in life. And my mom, you’re my best friend,” the singer said in her acceptance speech, beaming with happiness.

“This is the story that all of us, when we’re 80 years old and we are telling the same stories over and over again to our grandkids and they’re so annoyed with us… this is the story that we’re going to be telling over and over again – in 2010, that we got to win Album of the Year at the Grammys! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Taylor added when accepting her Album of the Year award.

The singer also took to the stage to perform a medley of her biggest hits, including “Today Was a Fairytale,” which just recently broke downloads records with 325,000 in just its first week of release, “You Belong with Me” and a duet with legendary Stevie Nicks. Below is the video of the performance: quality is rather poor, but enjoy it nonetheless.
