Taylor Swift was the second favorite at last night’s Grammy Awards and came out as the second biggest winner as well, taking home no less than 4 wins of 8 nominations. The country singer won the biggest award, Album of the Year, and put on an amazing performance, complete with a duet with Stevie Nicks, as E! Online can confirm.

2009 turned out to be a wonderful year for Taylor, which saw her rise to the top of all music charts in most territories and literally became one of the most sought after young artists of the moment. The 2010 Grammys made that official, with the star taking home 4 awards, 2 less than Beyonce, who set a new record for most wins by a female artist in a single night. Swift also won Best Female Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Song for “White Horse” and Best Country Album.

“Thank you so much. I just hope you know how much this means to me and to Nathan [Chapman], my producer, and to all these musicians you see on this stage, that we get to take this back to Nashville! Our families are freaking out in the living room! My dad and my little brother are losing their minds in the living room right now. This is for my dad - thank you for all those times you said I could do whatever I wanted in life. And my mom, you’re my best friend,” the singer said in her acceptance speech, beaming with happiness.

“This is the story that all of us, when we’re 80 years old and we are telling the same stories over and over again to our grandkids and they’re so annoyed with us… this is the story that we’re going to be telling over and over again – in 2010, that we got to win Album of the Year at the Grammys! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Taylor added when accepting her Album of the Year award.

The singer also took to the stage to perform a medley of her biggest hits, including “Today Was a Fairytale,” which just recently broke downloads records with 325,000 in just its first week of release, “You Belong with Me” and a duet with legendary Stevie Nicks. Below is the video of the performance: quality is rather poor, but enjoy it nonetheless.

That certainly was not a brilliant performance. Taylor proves again that she is not a singer. She was flat for most of th e song and generally soundedterrible. I felt bad for Stevie Nicks having to try and harmonize with that.

"Brilliant duet?"

Are you out of your mind?

I think this is a clear case of someone writing a blog/story they were supposed to write without actually SEEING the event they were supposed to be writing about.

I think you didn't see Taylor's performance on Grammy night and you made the assumption, based upon the good press of Taylor and the idea of pairing her with Stevie, that the duet was amazing. I mean - odds are good that was going to be a pretty good assumption.

But, your sin is revealed by the fact that Taylor wasn't just not good in her performance on Grammy night, she was DREADFUL - an opinion being carried by EVERYONE who saw the performance INCLUDING her OWN management, who gave an interview in Nashville, TN that they agreed, "it wasn't a good night for her performance-wise."

You should be just as embarrassed by this review as Taylor probably is by her horrible performance that night. This is no blast against Taylor - she had an off night - no big deal. She is a talented songwriter and she will be fine. No, the blast is against you, who is trying to pass along a review as honest and informative.

At least Taylor was HONESTLY bad.
