This year’s Grammy Awards, celebrating the best of the best in music for the year 2009, ended with a bang, with a performance by Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake and Travis Barker, as AceShowbiz can confirm. Eminem took home the award for Best Rap Album for “Relapse,” while Drake, the 23-year-old Canadian rapper made his big Grammy debut with some reassurance from the more awards seasoned Em.

“The most anticipated collaboration at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards was reserved as the last act of the day before they announced the winner of Album of the Year. Eminem, joined the star-studded line-up consisting of Drake, Lil Wayne and Travis Barker, being introduced by ‘Inglourious Basterds’ director Quentin Tarantino,” AceShowbiz writes.

Indeed, this was one of the most anticipated performances of the night, with many a media outlet speculating about what the rappers might do to close the awards ceremony with a bang. To make a long story short, they did not disappoint, the three – with the help of Travis Barker on drums – putting on a very energetic, lively and, sadly, profanity-laden show. The “sadly” part applies to the fact that part of the video embedded below had to be censored, which takes a little from the quality of the song.

“Weezy and Barker were the opening act, performing ‘Drop the World.’ Then Eminem came out just in time to sing his verse. An alarm was sounded, Drake came out, spitting verses of ‘Forever,’ his collaborative song with Weezy which was also made as the theme song of LeBron James’ documentary ‘More Than a Game’,” AceShowbiz writes. As MTV also points out, notably absent from Drake’s “Foreover” was Kanye West who did not attend this edition of the Grammys under the pretense of being in the studio working on new music.

Below are Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake and Travis Barker closing the show at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Parts of the audio are missing for containing offensive language. Enjoy.
