Microsoft has announced yesterday April 30, 2007 at MIX07 that it has begun shipping Expression Studio. Web developers and web designers will find end-to-end tools that will enable the seamless integration between creativity and code. The Microsoft Expression Studio suite of tools aims to be at the core of the next generation of user experiences for the Windows platform and for the Internet.

"The Microsoft Expression Studio has been released as a suite consisting of Expression Design, Expression Web, Expression Blend and Expression Media," revealed Nick White, Microsoft Product Manager.

"Microsoft Expression Studio takes your creative possibilities to a new level. The professional design tools and innovative technologies in Expression Studio give you the flexibility and freedom to bring your vision to reality-whether you are designing standards-based Web sites, rich user experiences on the desktop, or managing digital assets and content, (for the Web, Windows Vista applications and beyond). Expression Studio is now an essential part of the overall workflow for adding compelling user interfaces to the underlying power of the Microsoft technology platform," read two parts of the suite's description.

Microsoft has also not been shy about promoting the product. At MIX07, the Redmond Company will deliver to all the attendees a free copy of Windows Vista Ultimate together with a commemorative edition of the Expression Studio suite.

"Pencil is still the number one tool for designers so I thought it would be cool to have a design that acknowledges that aspect of the whole process before designer start doing something digitally. So these are pencil sketches created by designers when they were brainstorming on a new project. Some of the art comes from our own Expression Team. Each one is unique," explained Miwa Mueller from the Expression team.
