Gparted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, is now at version 0.16.2-1b.

Gparted Live 0.16.2-1b. can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and Hard Disk, then run on an x86 machine. Despite the weird numbering, this is a stable version and “b” doesn't stand for Beta.

Highlights of Gparted 0.16.2-1b: • LVM partitions are no longer activated on boot in order to enable move and resize; • The distribution is now based on the Debian Sid repository as of September 19, 2013; • A crash that occurred if the apply button was clicked before pending operations completed has been fixed; • A regression which broke the linux-swap resize has been fixed; • The progress of the tools used, such as ntfsresize, is no longer hidden.

A complete list of changes and bug fixes can be found in the announcement. Download GParted Live 0.16.2-1b right now from Softpedia.
