Goozex (online video game trading site) has revealed to the press today that it will be giving away limited edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 Elite consoles to four lucky Facebook members, in light of the company's just launched Video Game Community Facebook application. Hm... Xbox 360 Elite console? Halo 3 themed too? Not bad, not bad at all...! However, the Halo 3 themed 360 wasn't the Elite, as far as I can remember.

According to the official report, the promotion is running on the Facebook online social networking site and in order for you to be eligible (given that you're a U.S. or Canadian resident), as a Facebook member, you will need to download and share the new video game application developed by Goozex. Then, four winners will be selected based on the number of active friends they invite and who use the application. It's as simple as that!

"This is our biggest and most exciting promotion to date," said Mark Nebesky, CMO and co-founder of Goozex. Nebesky continued, "One of our goals is to unite gamers across different mediums and let them share their gaming experiences. Millions of gamers on Facebook are going to be turned onto our application, and we want to reward those that are the most enthusiastic early on. With Halo 3 an undeniable cultural event, we couldn't think of a better prize giveaway for gamers."

You definitely want to know more about the application now, don't you? Well, as it turns out, it is designed to allow millions of Facebook members to share their own game reviews, ratings and personal libraries for more than 23,000 game titles, all through a well-organized application page.

As for the "Halo 3 Xbox 360 Elite" giveaway consoles themselves (HDMI, 120GB HDD... you know the specs for the Elite), a winner will be selected each week throughout October. But why don't you just see the official website for rules, promotion schedule, the Goozex application and pretty much anything else that we might have missed?
