Google is getting ready to open a new space for entrepreneurs in Seoul, as it has done in many other places in the world, such as London, Tel Aviv, Warsaw, and Sao Paulo.

“Korean innovators and entrepreneurs are some of the best in Asia and Korean startups are making headlines around the world, especially in the mobile space. We want to support this booming community of entrepreneurs. So it’s with great excitement that we announce that Campus is coming to Seoul!” writes Google’s Bridgette Beam, senior partnership and program manager.

As you may already know, Campuses are spaces created by Google specifically for entrepreneurs. They’re places where people can go learn, connect and build companies that could change the world.

The mentorship and training sessions are led by local startup community members, experienced entrepreneurs, but also by teams of Google experts.

Campus Seoul will host many programs, including Campus for Moms, CampusEDU and Office Hours with Google mentors, the announcement reads.

This is Google’s first such place in Asia, which indicates an effort from Google to reach as many areas of the globe to help out entrepreneurs. While the entire process is only in the first stages, it does hold a lot of promise.

“This is the next big step in our growing investment in the future of Korea. Through the Google for Entrepreneurs program, we’ve helped young Korean companies through a host of programs and partnerships including the annual Global K-Startup program, KStartup Accelerator, Startup Weekend, Startup Grind and this November, Startup Nations,” Google’s Beam writes.

The company hopes that through its collaboration with local organizations, but also with those from the international community, Korea’s economic future will be brighter, led by great entrepreneurs.

The Google manager points out that the Internet giant itself started out as a startup in a garage, which pushes the company to support startups and, perhaps, the next giant company to hit the Internet.

Google’s hope is that Campus Seoul will “supercharge tech entrepreneurs, straighten the startup ecosystem and encourage even more innovation in Korea.”

Work on the space has already begun, but there’s going to be a little while longer before the Campus is complete. However, Google aims to open doors next year, although no timeline is being offered right now.

Such a project has high potential in Korea and could lead to some great discoveries in the future.
